Nanci brings many years of landscape management experience and a background in sustainability sciences. She offers a wealth of knowledge in proper landscape practices, environmental science, and ecological sustainability. Before joining LaurelRock, Nanci’s studies took her from the glaciers of Alaska, where she participated in a field research expedition for the Juneau Icefield Research Program, to the shores of Miami, where she worked in conjunction with a non-profit organization to perform habitat work, such as removal of invasive species and planting of red mangroves, sea oats, paspalum, and sea lavender at Oleta State Park.
As a self-admitted multi-tasker, Nanci’s energetic and detail-oriented personality makes her a natural fit for LaurelRock’s garden and property management team. Nanci is fluent in Portuguese, as well as proficient in Spanish and Japanese. She attended Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Science with an applied sustainability concentration.
