Construction Production Manager

The Landscape Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of multiple landscape installation crews; adherence to our high quality standards of our product and service; safety of our crews; ensure profit by managing labor and material cost within budgeted values; and exemplify LaurelRocks mission & core principles. This position reports to VP of Operations.

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly motivated landscape Construction Production Manager with 5+ years of experience in a related position. Candidate must demonstrate a clear understanding of landscape construction techniques including installation of hardscapes, firepits, outdoor kitchens, pools, grading, drainage, planting, irrigation, lighting and fencing.

Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Review projects with PM and Sales to determine budget guidelines, staffing and equipment placements, and create a working plan to keep projects on time and on budget.
  • Be able to establish and update a working project installation calendar, create delivery timelines, and stage product for installation crews/subcontractors.
  • Procure materials and supplies from approved vendors.
  • Manage crew time tracking relating to job costing.
  • Ensure weekly preventative maintenance & cleaning of vehicles & equipment within division
  • Teach, integrate, and insure adherence to safe practices in all field and yard operations
  • Implement lean management principles on worksites and at garage facility
  • Ensure a clean start by checking production pack for all pertinent updated documents prior to issuance, leading a pre-construction meeting on site, and confirming scheduling
  • Ensure a clean finish with a complete punch list, a final walk-through with client, educating client on new features and controllers within the landscape, and a clear hand-off to our maintenance team
  • Set up crews on job sites and perform site visits as necessary to answer questions, confirm layouts, check quality, monitor progress
  • Accurately track time and material costs for Change Orders and hourly work
