David is a seasoned professional in the field of landscape horticulture, boasting over four decades of experience. His journey began at Virginia Tech, where he earned his degree in Landscape Horticulture in 1982. Immediately after graduation, he delved into the industry, starting his career at Young’s Nurseries in Wilton. From 1982 to 1996, David honed his skills in landscape design and sales, eventually becoming the owner of Young’s Nurseries until its closure in 2016.

Following his tenure at Young’s Nurseries, David transitioned to Planters Choice in Newtown, where he served as Sales Manager for three years. His passion for innovative design led him to Glengate, where he thrived as the Principal Designer for another three years.

Beyond his professional achievements, David is deeply committed to his family and community. He is happily married with three children and seven grandchildren. Born and raised in Fairfield, CT, David has dedicated his career to serving the Fairfield, Litchfield, and Westchester County areas.

David’s contributions extend beyond the landscape industry. He is a former president of the Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association (CNLA), having been a member since 1984. Additionally, he holds both a CT Arborist License and a CT Custom Grounds Supervisory License, showcasing his expertise and dedication to his craft.

Outside of work, David is an active member of his community, embodying the values of service and philanthropy. He played an instrumental role in establishing the AYSO youth soccer league in Bridgeport, serving on the board as Treasurer for a decade. Furthermore, he volunteers with the CHILL organization, teaching inner-city kids from New York City how to snowboard for two seasons.

In his leisure time, David enjoys staying active through an over-40 league in soccer, snowboarding, hiking, and woodworking. However, his greatest joy comes from spending quality time with his family and friends, cherishing every moment together.
